Ashley Fortier

I am co-publisher at Metonymy Press and a professionally trained text editor. I also build affordable websites for community groups and small businesses. My main freelance editing client is currently Concordia University Communications Services.

I was publications co-chair for the Quebec/Atlantic branch of Editors Canada for two years and a member of the Queer Between the Covers book fair collective from 2008 to 2013. Before embarking as a full-time freelancer, I worked for three years as a coordinator at QPIRG Concordia. The skills and relationships built through my time there continue to ground my approach to professional and community work.

I completed a certificate in Publishing from Ryerson University in 2013, and I hold a BA from the University of Guelph in Women’s Studies and History.
